Antique portable portable school brazier, heater or frying pan

Brazier, heater or also known as “Maridillo” (short for husband). Ancient and curious object, it consists of a cast iron box with holes in the upper part of the lid. In it the coal embers were introduced to give heat to the feet. The fact that it was portable made it possible to move it to the desired location. Students would take it to school and place it under the desk, placing their feet near or on top of it, keeping them warm. It was also used by women who went to church or wherever they needed to keep warm. Signs of use and passage of time, as reflected in the photos.
