Kyowa LSC-3VC-2B antique microscope.

We present this professional microscope, from the Kyowa company, manufactured in Japan. This is model LSC-3VC-2B, an interesting historical object from 1966, preserved in very good condition, with hardly any signs of use. The head is equipped with a rotating tube with 2 interchangeable fixed eyepieces (5x/10x), as well as a turret head with 4 Pentax objectives (4x/10x/40x/100x), perfectly rectified. Thus obtaining 8 adjustable magnifications. The viewing optics are clean, bright and scratch-free. The coarse and fine controls have separate rack and pinion controls. It contains a stage with an integrated cross table that allows the objects to be viewed to be moved with great precision. Underneath the table is an Abbe N.A. 1.25 variable-height condenser, mounted with manually adjustable diaphragm. In the same place there is an interchangeable filter holder. The illumination is provided by a 230V/15W electric lamp with adjustable brightness. It is complete with a 1.8 meter cable, a switch and a plug. The accessories are: a plastic bag protecting the microscope; a cardboard box with 43 slides; 4 slides with metal support; a wooden box with 4 fixed eyepieces; 1 small bottle of immersion oil; a wooden box with 4 sample bottles and 5 filters of various sizes; an electric lamp without bulb; a fixed eyepiece tube. The microscope comes protected in a portable wooden case with a lock, but without a key. The inside of the lock and 3 screws are included loose. The case shows signs of use, both inside and outside. The item has an original inspection certificate, serial number 672463, affixed to the inside of the case door. In addition to a visible plate on the outside with the Kyowa logo. The dimensions of the microscope are approx. 36 cm (height) x 20 cm (width) x 23 cm (length). The wooden case measures 39 cm (height) x 25 cm (width) x 25.5 cm (length), with a total weight of about 9 kg. The photos show the actual condition of this unique scientific apparatus.
