Original 19th-century Crown pleating machine

An original Crown antique pleating machine made of cast iron, manufactured between the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It retains its two corrugated rollers, the hand crank and the clamp for securing it to a table. It does not have the original heating cylinders. It shows some surface rust and wear typical of its age, but retains all its charm and decorative value. Ideal for collectors, vintage décor, antique haberdasheries, window dressing, props, museums or lovers of antiques. Sold as shown in the photographs.

A late 19th-century manual pleating machine, made of enamelled cast iron and fitted with two hollow corrugated rollers driven by a crank handle. Designed to create decorative pleats in fabrics, lace, collars and ruffles on garments. The unit is secured to the table by a metal clamp and features heating tubes that were inserted into the rollers to set the pleats with heat. It features original black decoration with gold detailing and the distinctive Crown emblem. A piece of great historical interest for collectors of textile tools and domestic antiques. Manufactured approximately between 1875 and 1891 in the United States.
