Lladró is a renowned Spanish firm specialising in the creation of artistic porcelain figurines, famous for its delicate, handcrafted style. It was founded in 1953 in Almàssera by the brothers Juan Lladró, José Lladró and Vicente Lladró. They later moved production to Tavernes Blanques, where the company’s headquarters remain. Pieces are handmade using a complete artisanal process (modelling, glazing and firing). The style is recognisable for its soft forms, gentle expressions and pastel tones. Common themes include childhood, motherhood, romantic scenes, animals and traditional culture. Original pieces usually bear the Lladró logo (a stylised blue bell or tulip) on the base. They also include a serial number or model reference. Highly prized by collectors worldwide. Value depends on: Rarity of the model. Condition. Whether it is discontinued. Lladró exports to numerous countries and is one of the best-known artistic porcelain brands internationally.
