According to Spanish tradition, the bullfighter should never wear his costume outside the bullring. Published for the first time, the great stars of the bullfight, resplendent in their elaborately embroidered costumes, are brought to readers in a series of stunning studio portraits. Gold-clad matadors and silver-clad banderilleros recreate the dramatic gestures and intricate choreography of their profession, showing the most artistic and attractive aspects of bullfighting as it is seen today in Spain, France and South America. With its informative text and lavish full-page colour photographs by international photographer Peter Muller, Oro Plata is the perfect showcase for both the colourful history and tradition of these costumes, and the living legends of the men who wear them.
