In 1958 they moved their company to an industrial building in the town of Tabernes Blanques to be able to cope with the growing demand for their pieces. Then, from the 1960s onwards, the company began its international expansion, which led it to become a benchmark company in luxury ceramics. In 1965 Lladró exported part of its production to Canada and began to enter the United States. During the 1970s there was a significant increase in the number of Lladró products on the North American market. Also in the mid-1970s Lladró began to sell its products in Japan. International success led the company to open the Lladró Museum and Gallery in New York in 1988. A new boutique opened its doors in 2023 in the American city. The renown acquired by Lladró sculptures led to a selection being exhibited at the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg in 1991. Since then, two pieces have formed part of the museum’s permanent collection: ‘18th century carriage’ and ‘Don Quixote’. In 1992 Lladró was present in the Valencia Pavilion at the Universal Exhibition in Seville. The Lladró Centre was opened in Madrid in 1995. Since 2016, the firm has been part of the Spanish investment fund PHI Industrial Acquisitions. All the pieces are made in the workshops of La Ciudad de la Porcelana in Tabernes Blanques. The original piece is divided into fragments from which moulds are obtained. These moulds are filled with liquid porcelain paste, giving rise to the parts which are then recomposed using porcelain paste as an adhesive. Various ornamental elements, such as flowers, are then added by hand to the recomposed piece. The pieces are then hand-painted and glazed. Finally, they are fired for about 20 hours, and after they come out of the kiln they undergo various quality-control processes.

A beautiful and elegant lamp by the emblematic ceramic firm Lladró. The female figure, faithful to Lladró’s romantic and detailed style, is sculpted with great finesse, emphasising the delicacy of her features, the softness of her hair and the fluidity of her dress, which falls gracefully over her legs. The tree, with its organic forms and natural tones, frames the composition like a fairytale setting. The lamp is completed with a textile shade with soft lines, which diffuses a warm and enveloping light, ideal for elegant and sophisticated spaces. Perched on a wooden base. A decorative work that is also a luminous sculpture, full of visual poetry. It presents a small crack in the back part of the tree figure up to the base and a small bump in the main part of the base.
