Beautiful salt and pepper shakers from HB Quimper. A unique piece made of glazed earthenware (faïence), depicting the human figure of a man in traditional Breton dress (petit breton). Hand-painted with bright colours and shiny enamels. Bears the original ‘HB Quimper’ mark. No large cracks or obvious breaks. In perfect condition. Dimensions: 17 x 11 x 10 cm Weight: 350 g

Quimper is a city in Brittany (France) famous for its decorated pottery, called faïence de Quimper. “HB” comes from Henriot-&-Bousquet / Hubaudière-Bousquet, historical names linked to the manufacture of Quimper pottery. The factories produce glazed ceramics (pottery), usually decorated by hand with traditional Breton motifs.
