Mariquita Pérez was a Spanish doll created by Doña Leonor Coello de Portugal in 1938. She became the most famous doll of the 1940s, 1950s and early 1960s. Considered to be the best doll ever made in Spain, she was also among the best dolls in Europe at the time, due to her craftsmanship, the quality of the materials used and the richness of her costumes and accessories.
